The Customer's previous employee portal, which was built on a third-party platform, left much to be desired. Its lackluster design and unintuitive interface made it less than user-friendly, and its inability to support language localization only compounded the issue.
In light of these challenges, the Customer made the savvy decision to upgrade to the Microsoft 365 suite and develop a new, more robust employee portal within the platform. This strategic move promises to yield a more seamless and effective user experience for all involved.

Solution

Yeleta's team has successfully crafted an employee portal on SharePoint Online that impeccably meets the Customer's requirements. The team's expertise was put to good use in devising a customized layout for the portal pages using tiles (web parts) that align with group permissions. The portal boasts an array of titles such as Upcoming Events, Career Opportunities, News Carousel, Top Communities, and more, all of which are overseen by Community Managers (Upcoming Events) or a Global Community Manager (News Carousel). In addition, Yeleta's team has designed an Actions button on the portal's home page, which opens a drop-down menu that enables users to create documents, surveys, events, communities, and other functions. To further enhance the user experience, our specialists have implemented three levels of navigation for the employee portal.
